This week CPF National Director and Treasurer, Hannah David and David Parkinson were delighted to meet with the Scottish Conservatives' Policy Director, Marek Zemanik at the Scottish Parliament. This extremely productive meeting explored ways of ensuring that our Conservative members in Scotland can and do take part in CPF discussions on both reserved and delegated matters. In particular it was agreed that, for National discussion papers covering policy areas that have been devolved, a “Scottish version” of the paper will be produced covering the same topics – so that Scottish voices are heard on these matters. Similarly, the CPF will endeavour to do the same for Northern Ireland and Welsh members. The CPF believes that this will play a very big part in ensuring the CPF is truly inclusive of all members’ views. Many thanks to Marek for taking the lead on behalf of our Scottish colleagues – the CPF looks forward to working with him.
