Oliver Letwin, Minister for Government Policy, gave the keynote address at a meeting of Harrow Business Club on Thursday evening. The event, held in the Music Room at Grims Dyke Hotel in Harrow, was a remarkable success. Following an engaging speech form the Minister, attendees had an opportunity to network and promote their businesses – many of which are local to Harrow.
Mr. Letwin’s speech focused on the Governments efforts to create a better environment for business, by cutting down on unnecessary regulation, and by making the planning system more efficient. He commended British entrepreneurs for creating an additional 1.5 million jobs in the private sector since the Coalition Government came to power.
Harrow Business Club was established to help Harrow’s business community to connect, promote and grow. It aims to bring together some of the largest business owners, managers, and service providers in the area. The club, which meets once a month, seeks out community and business leaders to speak to members at each event, and features talks from experts on wide-ranging business related subjects.
Upcoming events will feature Lord Daniel Finkelstein and Marina Yannakoudakis MEP.
