Hannah David is delighted to support Budget 2014.
Mrs David said “the measures contained in this year’s budget will bring real benefits to the hard-working people of Harrow West. The Government’s long-term plan for our economy is working, and this year businesses and families will see a real improvement in their finances”.
The key measures include:
A rise in the Personal Allowance to £10,500 in 2015/16. This means that by April 2015, a typical basic rate taxpayer will pay £800 less income tax a year, and 3.2 million people will have been lifted out of income tax all together.
The Conservatives in Government will extend the Help to Buy equity loan scheme until 2020. This is excellent news for young people in Harrow, who are seeking to get onto the housing ladder, and could mean the construction of 120,000 new homes that this country desperately needs.
The Government is also committed to supporting business and creating jobs. It is doubling the Annual Investment Allowance to £500,000. It will also create the most competitive export finance regime in Europe. We will double the amount of lending available to £3 billion and from today the typical interest rates we charge on that lending will be cut by a third.
