Hannah was delighted to attend this year’s Jamsheedi Nowruz – Zoroastrian Iranian Spring New Year – celebrations, held at Portcullis House, Westminster. The event, hosted by the Zoroastrian All Party Parliamentary Group, offered an opportunity to reflect on the achievements of the Zoroastrian Community in all areas of life throughout the world.
The Guest of Honour was the High Commissioner of India, His Excellency, Mr Ranjan Mathai. Mr Mathai spoke of the contribution made by the Zoroastrian Community areas such as the arts, culture, industry and politics.
Hannah said: “It is fantastic to see the Zoroastrian Community celebrated in this way. I know that the Zoroastrian Centre in Rayners Lane plays such an important role in Harrow life, so I am thrilled to see the Community being recognised in parliament on the occasion of Jamsheedi Nowruz.
