Following Monday night's Full Council meeting, it was announced that Conservative Councillor Susan Hall is the new leader of Harrow Borough Council. Susan is also the Council's first female leader.
Following the news, Cllr. Hall said "There's gaps in the budget we'll be looking at. The residents are complaining that the roads are filthy and the parks unkempt... The reality is I want the Conservative vision: a cleaner, safer and fairer Harrow."
Cllr. Hall has since been congratulated by Hannah David, the Conservative parliamentary candidate for the Harrow West constituency. Hannah said "I would like to extend my warmest congratulations to Susan Hall upon her appointment as Leader of the Council. This represents a fresh start for Harrow following months of neglect under the previous administration and I am delighted that she is determined to improve the quality of the local surroundings for all residents. I look forward to working with Susan as I continue to fight for the hardworking people of Harrow West throughout my campaign".
